Monzo is the future, and the present!

I discovered Monzo during a period where I started to get fed up with mainstream high-street banks. At first glance the Monzo solution looked new, and customer-focused, and generally did lots of things that I felt would benefit my lifestyle. At the back of my mind was the understandable concern of "will they last and do I want to move my money there?" and so I kept the Monzo account on one side and used it for smaller purchases here and there. Time ticked by and I continued to see and hear good things about Monzo, and my confidence grew. One day I decided to make the switch, and with a heavy dose of dread I clicked the button for the account switch service. It asked me for a switch date, and for some very basic account details, and I settled myself in for a long admin slog. "Thanks" said the next screen, "your account switch is scheduled". I stared at my phone in disbelief and I clearly remember saying out loud "What? You mean that't it?!". And yes, that really was it. It's the move I should have made a long time before I did it. Everything was transferred, all of my incoming funds just kept coming in, all of my bills continued to be paid, and my old high-street account was closed.
