Chip is a great app offering good rates and easy access

Chip offers excellent rates, ease of use, clarity and good communication. There are higher rates available with other financial institutions but they come with restrictions, worse user experience and less control over your account. Chip is easy to use, supports Open banking to make integration with your personal account provider easy for transfers. It sends the right amount of communications, not excessive, about things like notification for withdrawals, deposits, rate changes and the odd promotions so doesn't spam you. Be careful with the auto saving setting though, I don't use this, but it can take money from your connected account by computing if you are likely to spend the money or not to put into savings. From recollection I think it's enabled by default. Reviewed on: 16th February 2024
