The Mortgage Introducer Elite Women list spotlights outstanding female professionals who are making a significant impact on the industry. Nominees must demonstrate a clear passion for their work, drive meaningful change, and show exceptional leadership. Jess once again stood out amongst the very best, securing her well-earned place on the 2025 list.

Leading the way in mortgage insights

Jess plays a vital role in the success of Smart Money People’s Mortgage Lender Benchmark, the industry’s largest independent broker feedback survey. Through her efforts, the study continues to grow in influence, offering lenders deep insights into broker feedback and helping drive improvements across the mortgage sector.

The most recent H2 2024 report featured 116 lenders and gathered 987 broker responses – the highest ever response rate. Jess has been instrumental in ensuring lenders and providers benefit from these insights, reinforcing Smart Money People’s position as a trusted voice in the mortgage industry.

Supporting vulnerable customers

Jess has also spearheaded Smart Money People’s initiatives to support vulnerable people. She established a 24-strong working group to drive industry wide change, focusing on refining feedback and communication methods tailored to the needs of these clients. Key topics so far include disclosure, consent and signposting.

The working group is made up of members from building societies, credit unions and debt management companies, as well as Fair4All Finance, the not-for-profit financial inclusion organisation.

As part of this work, Jess teamed up with Newcastle Building Society and over 30 other lenders to investigate why vulnerability disclosure remains low. The research has gained widespread recognition across the mortgage sector, and the results of a planned survey in 2025 will no doubt showcase the positive changes driven by this work.

Passion beyond the industry

Beyond her professional work, Jess actively supports diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing. She champions awareness for women’s health through her support of women’s health and education charity, Lady Talk Matters, where she raises funds and shares resources via her Instagram account.

Reflecting on her second consecutive recognition, Jess shared:

“I’m incredibly proud to be recognised as an elite woman in mortgages again. It’s an honour to be part of a team that helps lenders and brokers navigate the ever-changing market through meaningful insight. It’s also inspiring to see so many brilliant women shaping the future of this industry. Here’s to another year of making a difference!”

Fully deserved recognition

Everyone at Smart Money People is super proud of Jess for this incredible achievement. Her dedication and expertise continue to elevate both our business and the wider mortgage industry.
