Disgusting, horrific service - DISGUSTING COMPANY

Took 2. 1/2 years to be paid out after many requests for verifications that had already been sent more than once. No communication between departments. Agreed to Omnibuds an term and still did not pay on time. Reviewed on: 1st December 2024

Disasterous Experience with Scottish Widows

I have been waiting 14 months to be paid out by Scottish Widows on an investment made in 2001. They happily took my £33,000 and will not pay it back. This is stressful beyond belief AND to cap it all SW tweeted that they support Mental Health Week this year. Even my (fairly large) independent financial adviser Ellis Bates or the Financial Ombudsman have not been able to do anything tangible. I have finally written to my MP as the Facebook SW Complainrs groupl suggests. Any pensions manager who wants to damage there career should sign up with SW. They are the worst company I have ever had to deal with in my fairly long life. Avoid at all costs. Reviewed on: 8th December 2022

I've been with Scottish Widows for about 10yrs. I have always found them helpful and regularly receive postal updates of my account. Never had any problems. I have a low risk stocks investment and have made a decent return given what I originally invested. Reviewed on: 27th July 2017
