Helpful supportive and transparent

When I've had cause to claim they couldn't have been more helpful. They were clear, supportive and informative and when it cam e to renewal they were transparent and helpful with entirely reasonable approaches rather than punishment for a no-fault claim. Reviewed on: 5th September 2025

Disgusting DONT BOTHER

Disgusting Appalling way to treat a customer, Took Driving Instructor Insurance with this company, paid for the full year, unexpectedly bought a new teaching car, called to do a change of vehicle, I expected to pay more, but the additional price was astronomical, almost double. Appalled!!! But it just got better. I had paid £400 for the year and had only had the insurance for 2 months. I asked how much I would get back if I cancelled, and the reply was £75. The worst of it was that he wasn't even joking. Honestly, I'm so angry that I would rather go to a reputable company and start again before continuing to deal with this terrible company and put this down to experience, 19 years dealing with ADI insurance, and this is the first time I have been unhappy with a broker or insurance company. After hanging up I sought out other quotes guess what...... HALF THE PRICE to insure the new car.! Reviewed on: 2nd June 2025

There when you need them

The mark of a good insurance is how it responds when you claim.I had a break in and they broke in by demolishing the front door.Towergate arranged for a team to replace the door frame and lock.I had a leak behind my toilet in a boxed in section which rotted the bathroom floor .Towergate sent builders in to replace the floor. Towergate Contents insurance

What an appalling rip-off company. Paid for full insurance new for old. Smashed and ruined ten day old iPhone. Was offered 1/3 of the value. They took it for “inspection” and didn’t inspect it they just replaced the shattered glass and sent it back still broken. Now they want me to take it somewhere else to be inspected- why? They had it for a MONTH. I was entitled to a new phone and I offered to take it to Apple and now, because they’ve ruined it further, I can’t. Do NOT USE Towergate Reviewed on: 31st August 2021

Awful company, underwrite the policy I took out and wouldn't pay up

I took a worldwide insurance policy out to cover a trip to Mexico. We were delayed by 2 days due to weather, one day in the UK then an entire day and night stuck in Atlanta airport with no money, no support and sleeping on the floor. I got all the relevant slips to support the delay, signed by desk staff, and sent them all off when we got home as did my partner to his respective insurance. My partner got a payment almost instantly, I fought to get mine for over a year. Never got a penny, endless phonecalls, forms, emails and post and nothing. They kept saying my evidence wasn't suitable, I even rang the airline and confirmed but they wouldn't call themselves to verify just kept delaying. I gave up in the end, it wasn't worth the stress but I was still so annoyed. Reviewed on: 18th July 2019
