I got backpacker insurance and the price was very reasonable as some other insurances wouldn’t allow you to buy it without a return flight booked. Communication was good prior to purchasing. Also includes gadget cover for a good price ! Reviewed on: 5th September 2023

Claiming is not easy and obstacles put in the way.

Insurance is actually with Collinson Group. They don't have a good record on paying out. In my case, I found the online tool for submitting a claim did not give a clear acknowledgement that the submission had been accepted, just a cover-all statement that there could be delays due to "exceptional load at the moment" or somesuch statement. When they did eventually respond after several attempts at submitting the claim and a couple of months elapsed time, they said they needed even more information that coiuld only be provided by my GP and not by any of the consultants I had actually been dealing with - duh! Still in progress on getting that information, as no doubt they intended! Reviewed on: 5th September 2023

Comparing travel companies, after weighing up my options i decided travel insurance 4 medical was suitable for my needs and were competitive. With insurance it's not about the cheapest, it is about the cover that is right for your personal needs.. I hope i do not have to claim, but the peace of mind it gives me is invaluable. Finally a good outcome

I had to unfortunately claim on my travel insurance because my husband had been taken ill while I was away. After a lot of paperwork backwards and forwards the doctors to get paperwork signed, and having to do that twice because the first lot didn’t arrive, I had almost decided to throw in the towel feeling like this is made difficult hoping that I would give up, and I almost did.. It had been a very stressful time having my husband going through 3 brain surgeries, nearly losing him, I was so stressed out that was all becoming too much to deal with. However I decided to persevere and in the end they paid me more than what I was expecting, so I was truly grateful. I would recommend this company because you have to understand that their are so many people trying to make false claims that they have to make sure that they get all the correct information to deal with any claim. Me and my partner were lost in the world of travel insurance, until we found Travel Insurance 4 Medical. They have a clear and easy website to use and responded very quickly.
