Harassing emails

For approximately 6 months straight, Updraft emailed me every month to inform me that my payment had ‘failed’ and that if I didn’t pay straight away, my credit score could be damaged. This happened even though my direct debits had been taken on time each month. Updraft were incapable of fixing the problem so I was forced to complain to the financial ombudsman. The ombudsman ruled in my favour and ordered Updraft to pay me compensation. Reviewed on: 14th March 2024
