Please be careful if you use van line direct. Their sales team will tell you lies via their 'recorded' phone calls. These phone calls are un accessible if they have found misconduct within there company. But gaurenteed the phone calls would be there if i were to be abusive. They will add fault claims to your policy. So please be wary and check all documentation. I personally will never use van line direct again as they are very unprofessional. Cancelled my policy and went to hastings direct. They even wanted to charge me 45 pounds to cancel my policy for their own mistakes. Farcical to say the least. Reviewed on: 11th September 2024

Clowns

I went on compare the meerkat for new van insurance and clicked what I thought was a good deal. Got this circus who then went through everything I had just put in already then quoted me £1300 when I paid £680 the year before. I then said no and was told I had to speak to someone from technical ??? However never got to as the customer service’s constantly hang up on you. I thought getting insurance should not be this hard then abandoned it and went onto a competitor company direct and got it for £500 cheaper with more perks. From now on I will just ring companies direct as a broker web sight to then put you onto a broker all adding their bits on ???? Reviewed on: 16th May 2023

Avoid them

I had an van insurance on them , on 18 February I asked to cancel my insurance and they keep my insurance on. On 18 February they said I will get my refund in 7 days.I paid more then £1000 to them for 3 weeks of insurance. On 3 March I receive back £74. On 20 March I send them proof that from 24 February I have van insurance to another company. Every time when I call them they say to wait 7 more days to get my refund. Reviewed on: 5th April 2023

Terrible company

Got a quote online for £555 phoned up to ask for someone to go through the quote due to poor reviews on here, they came back with £1200 rising to £1600 with interest, I told them about the £555 quote they had given online and gave the reference number they said they can do that price but it was not available to pay anually, only available for a monthly payment with a 21% interest charge of £200!!! How can you offer a service for a price but demand to give credit at a rate of 21% that isn't wanted or needed ??? Asked to speak to customer service, told if you don't like it go somewhere else !! It’s a shame you can’t put one star, This company allowed me to. Take insurance out with them range me for the past week around 10 times a day when I did pick the phone up and he told me Who he was calling from I explained it wasn’t a good time to call and got rude over the phone to me within minutes, I received an email telling me my policy had cancelled when I went back online to chat to them about it they told me it had cancelled. I then went back on and submitted the same Details they had a phone call saying they have to put my policy up because iv had a cancellation on my policy before, I explained it was done by your selves they didn’t car the company owner doesn’t get back to you, I’ll be contacting, the financial conduct authority and explain how you treat your customers and deal with getting extra payments out of us Reviewed on: 1st March 2023
