Cruise cover for me with cancer

Did not think I would ever be able to cruise again once I got my cancer diagnosis and my old travel insurance company put my cover up from about £85 a year for annual multi-trip to over £1000 single-trip. They would not even look at annual cover. But World First did single-trip and instead of loading the premium, they load the excess - so if you don't claim then you don't pay! A brilliantly simple concept. So I got my cruise! (They would not look at multi-trip then hence the 4 out of 5 and the 7 out of 10) Reviewed on: 13th August 2018

Having pre-existing medical issues and being aged over 60 I was finding increasingly difficult to find Travel Insurance that would cover world wide travel. After obtaining quotes from numerous providers I decided to check out World First, from completing the on line form I found the questions asked were clear and easy to follow, the quote from World First for annual world wide travel insurance came out on top as it gave the full level of coverage I required. With a number of pre-existing conditions it has always been difficult to get value for money travel insurance. When dealing with World First the vetting process seems designed to try and insure you at a reasonable price rather than to find reasons why they cannot. My previous experience shows that their premiums can be as little as 20% of what others want to charge. A great company to do business with. Reviewed on: 13th August 2018
