Zempler Bank offer two personal current accounts – the Freedom account and the Activeplus account.

The Freedom account has no monthly fees and the Activeplus account is £5.95 per month. There may be fees for sending money and withdrawing or paying in cash. Both accounts come with the option to add on an overdraft.

Best high street alternative

Had my account since before the name switch and the quality hasn't changed, stellar service with no errors ever. I don't think I'll ever consider closing my account with zempler, they're fantastic. Reviewed on: 15th April 2026
