have used aldemore for a few years now for their fixed rate cash isa's. really easy to open and set up and very competitive interest rates

I feel cheated

When setting up the account, I was promised that if a rate change occurred I would benefit from this. A rate change did happen and... When setting up the account, I was promised that if a rate change occurred I would benefit from this. A rate change did happen and on calling in, the representitive promised that the change would be applied in days. I was later contacted and told this would not happen and my money is locked into the lower savings rate. This is now with the ombudsman. Read more Read less

    Fixed rate Isa's

    I've used Aldermore for three fixed rate Isa's and have found them easy to set up online with a good interest rate.

    Transfer of an ISA from another provider...

    When trying to transfer an ISA from another provider I was unable to apply on their website as the system would not accept the account... When trying to transfer an ISA from another provider I was unable to apply on their website as the system would not accept the account number (which was correct). Rang the company and I spoke to a gentleman who said that it was a possibly a web glitch. try again tomorrow. Two days later and still encountering the same issue I rang again and got through to a very helpful lady. She said that this was a problem sometimes depending on the number of digits on the account. With her help I was able to bypass that issue (just put in zeros in the reference section)and open an account. However once opened I had to ring Aldermore again as my bank did not have the actual account details from them. I gave the them the account details by phone and all ran smoothly after that. The good interest rate on offer was the main factor in my perseverance otherwise I would have given up/ Read more Read less
