I feel cheated

When setting up the account, I was promised that if a rate change occurred I would benefit from this. A rate change did happen and... When setting up the account, I was promised that if a rate change occurred I would benefit from this. A rate change did happen and on calling in, the representitive promised that the change would be applied in days. I was later contacted and told this would not happen and my money is locked into the lower savings rate. This is now with the ombudsman. Read more Read less

    The Bank To Avoid

    They take your money to open an ISA then a few days later put up the interest rate and then refuse to change you account...     Quick and easy process, detailed welcome pack received upon completion, and received annual statement within the post after 1 year. Currently 18 months in and had 0 issues

    Access to website blocked overseas

    Had a savings account. But found their website blocked access if you are outside the uk. Except it just said the site was under maintenance.... Had a savings account. So it took a very long time to decipher that at the bottom of the page it was blocking access from non uk ip address. A problem when you are traveling for work or pleasure and need to access the site. It wouldn't even offer access to the page to contact them. Had to call my family in the uk to close the account for me to get the money back! Read more Read less
