Poor value compared to other savings providers We have a number of savings accounts. Atom bank has been the worst by far in terms of offering one rate and then dropping the rate. Do not recommend Reviewed on: 9th March 2026

straight forward, simple, does what you expect easily

The account took around 10 minutes to set up, at home on the sofa. Simple, straight forward explanations and transparent details. Would definitely recommend. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2023

Competitive rate - easy to open - good communication

I have not used Atom bank before, but wanted a bank where I could open multiple accounts with the minimum of fuss. The range of accounts on offer is great and I opened three fixed savers over different time periods in line with my needs (and an instant saver for a slush fund). The account opening process was very quick, easy to navigate and I understood where I was at all times. The rates on offer are far superior to the big banks and of course, the FSCS protection of £85,000 is very reassuring. Simple no fuss excellence.

Great response from appreciative staff if needed, and you are kept in the frame with straightforward texts of anything that might need attention. Their operation returns competitive interest rates and the app portal is very user friendly but with no unnecessary info to cloud the operation.
