Tried to cancel an amended policy the day after but was offered £2.80 for a £161 amendment. They also increased my excess to £750 from £250 without my request. The phone call took 79 minutes on hold mostly. I feel robbed and cheated. There should be a cooling off period for rushed amendments in my opinion. I'll never use them again but I heard they'll blacklist me for a bad review anyway. Avoid. Reviewed on: 6th June 2025

Insured online they took money then next day had phone call from them with a load of demands they wanted me to send them licence check, proof of address plus no claims they then questioned the fact I’m retired?? And how I’ve retired at the age of 59 they then wanted proof of income ?? I have cashed in private pensions , sold my business and had a substantial inheritance, but what business is that to them ? It was £100 scooter insurance for god sake not a massive mortgage I decided that this was none of there business so cancelled there and then they charged me £58 to cancel. Went through complaint process and managed to get £30 admin fee back. Please beware of these people they give you a quote that you pay for but then look for reasons to charge you more Reviewed on: 1st May 2025

Will happily sell you an invalid policy

Went on multiple quote sites for motorcycle insurance. They all returned bikesure as the cheapest.Turns out they were all invalid despite all information being keyed completely accurately. I could have bought the policy immediately and ridden with invalid insurance. Goodness knows what would have happened if I had injured someone before they could contact me to tell me their policy isn't valid. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2025

Bike sure is a broker driven by higher commission and there is no customer centricity which they claim to be. Charged me more than £100 on cancellation when I moved after even telling them I found a cheaper rate told me we can’t help your policy is active and not a renewal policy was active for 9 hours and cancellations fees and broker commission charged £100 Reviewed on: 3rd April 2025

My advice is to avoid this insurer!

Paid my insurance but then got the "We need to validate your details" email. A couple of minor changes later my quote was more than doubled, I felt like I had been scammed. I duly cancelled my policy and this was met with an extortionate £65 cancellation fee, despite the fact my policy had not yet started and well within the 14 day cooling off period. I accept some small admin fee would be chargeable but they abused this fact and I would not recommend this company in any capacity and would advise anyone to do their research before dealing with Bikesure!! Robbery!!!!

In mid-January I bought motorcycle insurance through the Bikesure Insurance website. A few hours later I received an email asking me to contact them because there was something wrong with my details. They told me over the phone that I had made a mistake because I had indicated that I had a category ‘A’ driving licence when in fact I had an ‘A2’ driving licence. The problem is that you can’t choose this option because it’s not listed on their website. Because of this they increased my policy from £53 to £91 per month and when I declined they charged me a cancellation fee of £65. I bought the policy more than two weeks before it started so it wasn’t active, they changed the offer and tried to force me to accept it. Even though I have the right to refuse the policy for 14 days without giving a reason and even though they changed the contract which I didn’t accept, they ignored my arguments and charged me the fee. I have written an appeal but I have not received a response so far so I am taking my complaint to the FCA. Bikesure's practice is clear to me: first they sell at a good price, then they raise the price, then they charge a cancellation fee, easy money Reviewed on: 30th January 2025
