By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Great insurance model

I love not having to guess how many miles I’ll cover in a year. With work-from-home it’s especially important, I only pay for what I use. App is great and so far I haven’t even had to call the support - everything is covered by the app which is what you want. Reviewed on: 11th August 2022

Best Insurance by a long haul

Never had any problems in any way with my insurance , easy to navigate website and quick to respond to any questions I have , absolutely love them and my insurance keeps coming down all the time , value for money , in this climate anyone should take a real good look at what they are paying as either way ,if I do low milage or higher milage my insurance is much cheaper than any other company and that’s telling it straight , pay as I go is simple Reviewed on: 11th August 2022

Having previously been insured with Admiral, and my premium rate not dropping much below £400 for my 1l Peugeot, I decided to try ByMiles. I was given a much lower rate (over half of previous quotes), and because you only pay for what you drive each month, my monthly payments are extremely low. I recommended them to my partner, and we both received some free miles, which, 9 months later I am still using as I very rarely drive anywhere.
