very friendly personalised service

I ve had a savings account with Cambrian since retiring 6 years ago. I started a refular direct debit from my main bank account on a monthly basis and watched my balance grow. It is really helpful to me as its always money put aside for the unexpected expenses Reviewed on: 8th June 2026

The Cambrian credit union the unsung heroes of our time

Although I have retired from the council since 2014 .It was so convenient for me to save a bit every month from my wages .Although it wasn’t a lot of money and I have dipped into the pot a few times Its very reassuting to know that my little bi of money helps to lend people who are struggling to borrow and avoid these loan sharks that we hear so much about .If I was to win I would like you to donate the 1 k to Mr Roy Fyles Anglesey food bank as they are really struggling Thank you Cambrian credit union for your sterling work and efficiency and always keeping us in the loop and working ooenly Reviewed on: 8th June 2026

I started off years ago with a loan and paid it off and they automatically built a savings account, once loan was paid off I carried on paying the same amount into savings as it was via wage deduction and I was used to not having the money. Whenever my wage increases I increase the amount I save. This now pays for my kids Xmas every year without ever having to worry - thank you so much! I HAVE BEEN WITH CAMBRIAN CREDIT UNION FOR MANY YEARS EVEN BEFORE IT WAS CALLED CAMBRIAN,AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN SATISFIED WITH THIER PROFFESIONILISM,AND QUICK RESPONSE TO MY NEEDS AND WANTS,HIGHLY RATED Reviewed on: 8th June 2026

A Brilliant Way to Build an Emergency Fund

I first heard about Cambrian through a financial wellbeing talk arranged by my NHS employer and I’m so glad I did. Setting up a simple “set and forget” direct debit to build an emergency fund has been such an easy but effective way to save regularly without really thinking about it. I also spoke to a member of the team who was incredibly friendly, patient and helpful, which made the whole experience feel much more personal than dealing with a big bank. It’s refreshing to find an organisation that genuinely feels focused on helping people improve their financial wellbeing rather than just selling products. I am a member who has had a checkered history financially. Having been had a personal bankruptcy against my name. Cambrian have always treated me with dignity and respect, even when things have been sketchy. I have always been encouraged to save; whilst borrow within my limits.
