Chase Current Account

My experience with the Chase current account has been very positive overall. The app is simple and easy to use, and I like how quickly I can manage everything in one place. Setting up the account was straightforward, and payments and transfers are processed quickly without any issues. I also like the cashback on eligible spending and the fact there are no fees for everyday banking or spending abroad, which makes it very convenient. The ability to open separate “pots” or accounts for budgeting is also really useful for managing my money. The main downside is that it’s an app-only bank, so there are no physical branches or cash deposit options, which can be limiting in some situations. Some features are also quite basic compared to traditional banks. Overall, it’s a modern, reliable, and convenient account that works well for day-to-day spending and budgeting. Recommended by my brother to move all my money into when I sold my house in 2024 to get the best return on my money at the time. Everything was so straight forward, clear and easy and I got a fab return for a few months until the Bank of England’s interest rates dropped madly but I was happy with it all. The perks that made Chase an attractive choice are no longer there. Cashback is now limited to certain types of UK spending only and the interest rate has plummeted. There are better options out there. Reviewed on: 19th April 2026
