I am a landlord, earn around £70,000 a year, have never missed a payment, and have always worked hard to maintain an excellent credit history. My credit score was very strong before I applied. I applied only once for iPhone finance. The application was declined, a hard search was recorded, and my credit score dropped dramatically afterwards. When I contacted Creation, they told me they could not tell me the specific reason for the decision and could not remove the search. After years of paying every bill on time and maintaining a spotless payment record, I feel that all my hard work was damaged by a single application that resulted in no finance being provided.
