Great for starting your trading journey

Easy to build a portfolio from scratch

I like the range of sectors and companies that you can invest in shares via the app. There is a paid subscription version which gives more options for you. Drawbacks however are that some of the shares' can be volatile so you must learn to always invest what you are willing to lose to make some gains. For somebody new to investing. I like that I can secure (in most cases) minority stakes in big brands. This is very flexible. Reviewed on: 12th March 2025

Simple, intuitive and free commission!

I found Freetrade was easy to setup and covered my investment needs to setup a stocks and shares ISA. They had a wide range of local and international equities and funds to invest in with zero commission.
