Great service with fractional shares option

I have had a very positive experience with Freetrade and particularly appreciate the availability of buying and selling fractional shares with 0% comission. However I would also like to see the availability of 24/5 trading in Freetrade. Reviewed on: 10th February 2026

A fantastic app for beginners and simplicity.

Freetrade is a fantastic investing app for beginners. The app is laid out very simply, its not cluttered and searching/finding stocks is easy. Trades are executed quickly and the fees are fair. If you are new to investing use Freetrade. The customer service is prompt and understandable. The emails updating on various market moves are very detailed and straight to the point. I have just opened a SIPP with them as well. You can set up automatic payments to every week so that you don't have to 'time' the market. They did remove their community platform which was a bit sad as I thoroughly enjoyed engaging with other FT users and discussing stocks. Reviewed on: 9th February 2026

Seamless and efficient share dealing

I have used Freetrade for many years, and am also an investor in the company when it was crowdfunding. I reallly enjoy the efficient user experience of the app as well as the personal touches (e.g. stock descriptions with personality, a newsletter that doesn't feel like its written by AI, and messages from individual people at the company etc.). It is a shame the Stocks and Shares ISA isn't free, but I understand there is a cost to manage it. The company also has a good referral program and a lot of options for investors.
