Seamless and efficient share dealing

I have used Freetrade for many years, and am also an investor in the company when it was crowdfunding. I reallly enjoy the efficient user experience of the app as well as the personal touches (e.g. stock descriptions with personality, a newsletter that doesn't feel like its written by AI, and messages from individual people at the company etc.). It is a shame the Stocks and Shares ISA isn't free, but I understand there is a cost to manage it. The company also has a good referral program and a lot of options for investors. Freetrade. All good, with one minor improvement needed.

I wanted to try share dealing and tried Freetrade. The main thing for me was ease of use, whether buying or selling shares it was so easy. Its quick to set the deal and the transactions appear quickly. Recently I wanted to open a stocks and shares ISA, which was easy. The only thing I couldn't work out was how to transfer funds from my ordinary account to the ISA account, so I sent a message and I got a reply quickly. The only thing In relation to that is, it would be easier to have a 'transfer' button on the ordinary share dealing screen and one on the ISA screen. Reviewed on: 8th February 2026
