Easy pension set up

I opned a new personal pension investment and the process was simple and easy to understand. I have set uo a regular amount to invest but have also added extra amounts every now and then. All the information is at hand in the NatWest banking app. Reviewed on: 16th April 2026

Stocks and Shares ISA

Had been thinking about how to invest so was really pleased to see the new ISAs launched. Really clear explanation about different options available and information about company managing my money. Feels like a relatively safe way to start thank you!! Reviewed on: 22nd January 2026

Great bank, but the investment account is poor

I cashed out after 2 years at pretty much what my initial investment was. I know 5 year is where you wnat to be as far as minimum length of investment goes, but all my other accounts have outperformed this by a wide margin and there's no sign of that changing. The last 2 years have been pretty good for investments what with high bond yields and fluctuating stock markets so it takes a fair bit of poor judgement not to make something. Don't invest

Very poor performing funds. (circa 5 to 6 loss over last two years. Periodic 'excuse report' issued by fund manager, that's all. Reviewed on: 29th September 2023

Dreadful customer service, dreadful performance. AVOID

I have 9 funds for pensions. This went in pre the Ukraine war along with others. It has performed the worst of all funds consistently for the two years I had it. I raised a complaint after my accountant advised this was such a bad performing fund we should get an explanation. Natwest wrote to me from their complaints division stating it was not their product and had passed the complaint on (after sending me someone else's complaint letter in a clear breach of GDPR) I never heard from whoever they sent the complaint to, but was surprised given Natwest sold me this thing and it sits on NatWest's app. I sold them monday and screen shot the values through thew day. When they sold on that day I received £800 less than expected. Now either I was unlucky and the fund dipped by £800 in the moment they sold and then immediately recovered.... or somehow £800 has gone missing. Overall an awful experience, only fund to take a loss (nope did not recover at all post covid) and the sale stinks to high heaven. Been with the bank since I was 17 so 35 years. It's made me move all monies out of the bank. Truly awful and suspicious. Reviewed on: 19th September 2023

Pathetic returns and delay in investment values and cash out

Cashed out at a lower price than I invested, when I cashed out the price shown on the app was £800 higher than the money received, when I rang Nat West invest they stated that the price seen on the app is a couple of days out of date and that it can take up to two days to cash out, this means that price you will get is 4 days out of date. Regret investing with NatWest Invest

This was introduced by my Premium Manager as a relatively low risk investment. With 5 risk options I chose the lowest and my husband the second lowest. My initial investment has fallen lower than his. Whilst I appreciate the disclaimer and understand there are difficult economic conditions the fund managers, Coutts, are described as experienced investors. Initially our investment grew marginally. The downfall in our Investment appears to coincide with their decision to switch to become environmentally friendly in Feb 22 when 50% of the funds were invested in assets working towards zero greenhouse gas emissions. Over the next few months (and only 2 years of investing) this steadily lost us a combined total of £11k. Although this has recovered slightly we have little option but to leave our funds with NatWest longer term than anticipated in the hope of recovering our initial investment only. This will be withdrawn assuming we get our money back. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2023
