I use Freetrade regularly to invest in the US and UK stock market including global ETFs. It is quick and easy to do whilst explaining the risks and potential benefits of investing. Compared to the other products in the market it provides great value for money and is a very intuitive platform for new and experienced investors Reviewed on: 12th March 2024

My Rollercoaster Ride with Freetrade

4
Title: My Rollercoaster Ride with Freetrade Diving into the stock market has always felt like decoding hieroglyphics to me. That was until Freetrade came along. It's been a breath of fresh air, making investing seem as easy as online shopping. The app's clean design and straightforward approach were perfect for a newbie investor like me. It felt like finally, the world of stocks was opening up, and I was invited to the party. But, every party has its crasher, and mine was trying to change my linked bank account on the app. For some reason, what I thought would be a simple tap-and-update turned into a mini saga. I tried to figure it out myself, then scoured the internet for answers, but it was like hitting a wall. The app just wouldn't budge. So, I did what any reasonable person would do and reached out to customer support. The person on the other end was keen to help, tossing me a couple of lifelines that, unfortunately, turned out to be duds. The final piece of advice was to delete and reinstall the app, with reassurances that everything would be as I left it. Well, not quite. I ended up locked out of my account for over a week. Imagine me, staring at my phone, wondering if my little investment adventure had come to an abrupt end. It was like being ghosted after a first date, but instead of missing out on a second date, I was stressing about my investments. Eventually, the universe aligned, and I got back into my account, but not without a few more gray hairs. This hiccup was a bummer in what's been an otherwise smooth ride. It's a bit like finding out your favorite snack has calories - still awesome, but with a catch. Despite this glitch, I'm sticking with Freetrade. The platform has too much going for it, especially for investment rookies like me. But yeah, if they could make sure no one else has to feel like they've been left hanging in the digital void, that'd be great. Here's to hoping my little rollercoaster ride helps them iron out the kinks. And hey, maybe it'll even win me a cool £1000 - fingers crossed! Reviewed on: 12th March 2024

Good way to start investing

New to trading and have a basic plan, but offers most of my requirements, if the other plans were a bit cheaper I would consider investing more and transferring my SIPP and ISA Reviewed on: 12th March 2024
