EXCELLENT SERVICE, PROMPT CLAIM HANDLING AND PAYOUT

I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER OF GET GOING FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND ALWAYS FOUND THEIR INSURANCE, WITH MEDICAL CONDITIONS, TO BE VERY FAIR VALUE. FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE I'VE BEEN A CUSTOMER, I NEEDED TO MAKE A CLAIM THIS YEAR AS I BECAME SUDDENLY ILL.GET GOING IMMEDIATELY DEALT WITH ME VERY COURTEOUSLY, CONFIRMED THAT MY CLAIM WAS VALID AND THEY WOULD HONOUR IT. THEY CARING;LY TOOK TIME TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING AND CLAERLY TOLD ME WHAT PAPERWORK I NEEDED TO PROVIDE THEM WITH. ONCE I SENT THE PAPERWORK TO THEM, THE CLAIM WAS SETTLED WITH 14 DAYS, AND IN AN EXCEEDINGLY FRIENDLY MANNER. IT WAS REFRESHING TO HAVE AN INSURANCE CLAIM MET WHERE THE INSURER DIDN;T FEEL GRUMPY OR TRY TO DELAY PAYING OUT. Reviewed on: 12th July 2025

A holiday where we ended up staying in a hospital !!

My husband suffered a nasty accident whilst in Porto Santo. Once he had been transferred to a hospital, I phoned Get Going quickly . He was transferred to a Madeira hospital, operated on and stayed there for 2 weeks. I phoned them repeatedly with different questions and worries. Each time I rang they were extremely helpful and patient, answering any queries I had about his stay in hospital, my stay in a different hotel and eventually about our return home accompanied by an English nurse they had flown out. Good holiday insurance.

I have taken out a yearly insurance policy with Get going travel insurance it appears to cover everything that I need for holiday insurance. Up to now I have been lucky enough to have not needed to make a claim, so I can’t comment on how good it is in the event of making a claim. Reviewed on: 11th July 2025
