About this product

GoHenry offer prepaid accounts for children.

There is a fee for using these accounts, you can choose from three GoHenry memberships. Everyday is a debit card and app, Plus includes interest on savings and max is a family plan. Kids can learn through Money Missions in their GoHenry app.

Fantastic for children!!!

I joined GoHenry for my children nearly two years ago and since have recommended to anyone I know with children, who are looking to teach them the value of money. In a day and age where card and online transactions are far more common than cash payments, GoHenry is the perfect start to banking. Family and friends can easily send money across whether it be as a payment or as a “gift card” for birthdays etc where the children get to reveal their present on the day which is then deposited straight into their account. We as parents can set up a regular pocket money transfer from the parent account, as well as putting a weekly/daily spending limit which is easily managed via the app. One more advantage is when my eldest is out shopping with her friends, when she uses her card the app notifies me, meaning I can see what shops she going in, as well as how much she is spending. My children have had Go Henry account for their pocket money since they were very small. It teaches them the importance of saving, and how exciting it can be to watch your money grow. Savings for Children

Great app that lets you put aside money weekly as savings fir little ones. You can also link giving to chores - fantastic. There's also a section for teaching children to contribute towards charity or worthy causes. Can't fault it, very happy! Reviewed on: 26th March 2021

Great app but expensive for what it is.

Principally the importance of this app is clearly to do with teaching young people about the value of money both in relation to spending and also saving. Furthermore it gives them confidence as they grow older in terms of how they interact with money and banking cards. My main issue is the cost of using the app which I think is expensive for what it is. However I cannot deny that my kids are far more motivated to getting their chores done by the end of each week!
