Lightyear is awesome in terms of providing a choice...

Lightyear is awesome in terms of providing a choice of stocks and funds from different countries around the world! I love using it, it is seemless. The fees are transparent and very good value for money. I can't wait for more features. What I think is the single most impactful area where lightyear can expand is introducing ISAs / pensions accounts, as well as getting the FSCS protection on customer accounts. User friendly. Dark mode. Multi Currency. Wide range of financial assets, especially the BlackRock Money Market Funds. Fast and responsive. Tech friendly. OK for a while

I used Lightyear for its savings rate since it offered. 3.25 but I switched to Trading212 since it offered 4.2% and Trade Republic offers 4% so there's no benefit staying with Lightyear. The only thing its best at is the app design, its more simplistic and nicer to look at. Trading212 is more mathematical and crowded and Trade Republic glitches and is just awful. For investing, Im pretty sure Trading212 is better regarded. Reviewed on: 5th April 2024
