A Regular Savings Account is opened automatically when you join Manchester Credit Union. Savings must be made on a regular basis, either weekly, fortnightly or monthly and withdrawals can be made via the App or Members Area.

I’ve been using Manchester Credit Union for my savings and it’s been a really positive experience. The money comes straight out of my wages, which makes saving effortless because I don’t even miss it. I also like that I can transfer money out when I need to, so I still have access to my savings if something comes up. The credit union changed my attitude to money

I have been in the credit union for years it has changed my relationship with money. Many years ago I was in debt I owed money on credit cards. I applied for a loan and had a face to face with a woman who went through everything I spent my money on. The process made me see how much of my money was spent on stuff I could live without. Since that meeting I have paid off all my debts, always made sure that I saved more money by setting up standing orders. Reviewed on: 10th April 2026

If i keep money in my bank card.

If i keep money in my bank card. I always spend it. But when i send to mcu which i havent added card to remove money prevent me from spending the money. When i had a problem customer service was fast and it went smooth. Was proper satisfied Reviewed on: 10th April 2026

A great place to save.

Easy to use app, when I've needed a loan MCU have made sure I can afford the repayments and the staff have been really helpful. I use them to save money and I love it that you are unable to withdraw the Christmas savings until the month or so before Christmas. Reviewed on: 10th April 2026
