It’s been in business for over 30 years and is open to anyone who lives or works in the City of Manchester, Bury, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and the High Peak. Any surplus money generated is returned to members in the form of a dividend on their savings or used to improve services to members.

Members can access a range of savings accounts and loans through Manchester Credit Union.

    Generally a great company

    It did take a while to be processed compared to other applications, but they are sometimes more willing than banks etc to consider you for...     I am so happy with the service and everything I have received from Manchester Credit Union. However, the communication hasn’t been great. I wasn’t aware... I am so happy with the service and everything I have received from Manchester Credit Union. However, the communication hasn’t been great. I wasn’t aware I needed to reapply and then when I did, I sent some bank statements through and wasn’t aware that they were not sufficient. I had to send a message to the office to find out I needed to send more bank statements, which infact, someone should have contacted me and told me to send the correct statements in. So all in all, everything is great but the communication from the office to the client needs to be better. Read more Read less

    Helpful and understanding

    They are very understanding and help you the best they can and also are very fast with transactions and loan approvals on a weekday of course. Would highly recommend!
