A Regular Savings Account is opened automatically when you join Manchester Credit Union. Savings must be made on a regular basis, either weekly, fortnightly or monthly and withdrawals can be made via the App or Members Area.

I have been saving with MCU for years.

I have been saving with MCU for years. I like how I can make extra deposits whenever on top of the money already going straight in. It’s also easy to withdraw when needed. I also like that I can forget about the money going in so it quickly builds up. MCU have great customer service and I have recommended them to many others. Reviewed on: 20th June 2025

Saving via work scheme.

Saving via work scheme. General saved, christmas saved and have a lottery account also. I completely forget about these savings as they come out of my wage so it’s a nice cash pot to have increasing in the background. Reviewed on: 19th June 2025

Good. Second account saving needed.

I have my carers allowance added to my credit union and it works well to allow me to transfer what I need to my bank and leave the rest as savings. It’s a simple process to transfer money to my bank I set up at the start but despite the tick box to add additional accounts it only saves the original and doesn’t allow a second account to be saved. This is inconvenient when I have to add the account number and sort code every time I want to transfer to my starling account but at least it allows you to copy and paste the details in. The transfer process is immediate to my starling account but takes 15mins to a couple of hours to my saved coop account. Reviewed on: 19th June 2025
