Good in some areas

Marmalade is good for providing learner insurance because you can pay monthly without a contract so there are no legal strings and you don’t have to worry about paying extra costs. However, I think the black box service could be improved because I disagree with being charged such large amounts when you get a red journey. I think the box can be too sensitive and it doesn’t take into account unexpected circumstances such as a child jumping Infront of you causing you to break harshly, or going through country roads and bumping into several tractors which causes several harsh breaking incidents. I also think it would be really cool if they offered extra rewards or discounts to further motivate young drivers to drive well. Very useful

Marmalade gives a very detailed review of your driving in all areas such as cornering, braking, speeding and phone use. The black box itself is very small and takes up little room and isn’t noticeable while driving. Reviewed on: 16th September 2021

Great first insurance

I found marmalade through a price comparison website. My insurance was decently priced for my first car and I had a black box. When I got my rennewal through I was amazed by how much I was saving. Halfway through my first year I got a new car and the team were incredibly helpful and supportive while I swapped my insurance onto another vehicle. The company is very good at giving insurance to learning or new drivers , one thing I have to say is that it takes no hostages with roundabouts where they are too strict with cornering, on a roundabout I have to stay in my lane even though I may be cornering hard Reviewed on: 16th September 2021

Good pricing and so friendly

Very user friendly
