Peace of Mind for Children's Spending

I'm really happy with my Rooster Money account for my son, which I set up for his 11th birthday. It's an easy way for him to see his 'savings' grow - with the accompanying app - and he gets to feel so grown-up using the random CVV feature to complete online purchases. Plus, we parents get to understand and guide his spending habits in a not-too-overbearing manner. It's also great for depositing monetary gifts from family. It's been a true boon during lockdown, when physical gifts have been more problematic. I would (and do) recommend Rooster Money for any parent. Reviewed on: 12th April 2021

Getting a Rooster card for our son has been a win win. He has learnt the value of money and saving and the setting chores for earning pocket money has worked a treat meaning simple daily tasks are now completed without a fuss. Having his own card has given him independence and a little freedom without having to carry cash, plus I can see where and when he spends anything. Can’t praise it enough! Great way to teach children about money in the real world.

When used with the Rooster Card it gives your children a much better understanding of money and value. They start to think about saving up for things they want and create goals in the app to which they can allocate a portion of their pocket money each week. You get full visibility of what gets spent and where. They start to ask sensible questions about money and finance. Overall I'm very pleased we decided to try it out. Well worth the fee. Excellent and easy way to motivate my daughter to do chores and helps her to take responsibility for her spending. She loves the independence it gives her but we can also keep track of what she is spending. Really helpful and friendly service also. Reviewed on: 12th April 2021
