NatWest Rooster Money is a good app for managing children’s finances and teaching them how to save and spend responsibly. The interface is easy to use and the parental controls are very helpful. However, one major limitation is that the account cannot easily receive money from external sources, only from linked or authorised accounts. This makes it less flexible, especially if you want family or others to send money directly. Overall, it’s a good tool for basic money management, but improving external transfer options would make it much more practical Reviewed on: 3rd April 2026

NatWest has been easy to setup online and the app provides all the functionality I need. Telephone assistance is always friendly and I love that it’s available 24/7. Great safety features like Get Cash. Card works perfectly. Some functionalities aren’t available until you’re 18 however, and I wouldn’t say savings rates are good apart from the regular saver. I have been using the Natwest app since 2008, when I had my little Blackberry phone, because of the convenience of managing my account online and the confidence in NatWest that my account is protected from fraud. Thank you, NatWest. Reviewed on: 29th March 2023

Useless systems worst in the industry

Cannot check online statements to the mortgage. Cannot link mortgage and bank accounts to the app. Lots of fancy stuff but nothing even the basics works. Fix the basics first like making sure a client does not have to spend 10 hours to get a statement (and i failed) before you even try to add complexity. Reviewed on: 21st March 2023
