After years of being fobbed off by the high street banks with pitiful savings rates, I found OakNorth through MoneySavingExpert and was genuinely sceptical — another "challenger bank" promising the earth. But the rate was real, the account was straightforward to open, and my money was exactly where it said it would be. No gimmicks, no hidden catches — just a bank that does what it says. A refreshing alternative to the usual big banks

I found OakNorth via Martin Lewis' website and I was initially cautious (with them not being a well known name), but they’ve been consistently straightforward and reliable. OakNorth Savings

I opened a fixed rate cash isa with Oaknorth which was very easy to do and the app is very easy to use - provides good information regarding products they have and all the information you need for your savings are easy to access and view and makes perfect sense. You can see exactlt how much interest you are saving on the product. Customer services are very helpful too. I would highly recommend Oaknorth Savings - good investment rates and good products for everyone. Emails sent to give information that is needed. Reviewed on: 28th March 2026
