Excessive charges levied by the intermediary

An unintentional omission of a claim made 58 months ago, relating to a second vehicle with separate insurance, has no bearing on my 9 years plus no-claims entitlement used to obtain my insurance quotation via One Call Insurance. An intermediary charge imposed was subsequently taken from my account using the credit card details I supplied solely for the purpose of paying the agreed premium at inception of the risk. No additional payment was authorised by me though an additional amount was subsequently taken from my account! This action is both high-handed, and of concern and I consider a refund of the unauthorised charge appropriate. In the absence of a satisfactory response, I will not use One Call for future business, nor recommend anyone to them in the future! Reviewed on: 10th September 2021
