Since then (5years ago) both accounts have lost value overall. Therefore I decided to withdraw and close my account. However, OneFamily have made this impossible. I have so far been trying to withdraw my own money for a year. The first problem was that it was being withdrawn to a different bank account than what it was put in with. Bear in mind the money was deposited 25 years ago by my parents I find this hardly surprising. After overcoming this obstacle and providing them with countless documents following excuse after excuse I have now been told I cannot withdraw as it’s not to a ‘traditional high street bank’ (Starling). I have no other debit account so now will have to open a new bank and use it so I can provide statements until I can try again.
