Awesome product to help with Financial independence

Having used the Better Off Calculator for some months now my comments are only positive. The team that works behind the scenes is fantastic and always gets back to you. Really useful tool!

I use Policy in Practice within my role to support people back into employment and I have found the calculator to be user friendly with lots of information for me to provide my customers. Whenever I have needed help, there has always been a helpful adviser on the live chat to resolve any issues. I prefer using Policy In Practise calculator to any other calculator that is out there. 10/10 would recommend!! Reviewed on: 18th May 2023

Helps us to help more of our customers

Bringing the Policy in Practice team on board has really helped us to help our customers. We are only a small team and so it takes time to get through the referrals but having the calculator means we can refer the customers to use that during the busy times and our Housing Officers are able to use it when necessary also. We recommend use of the calculator during the sign up period to ensure the property will be affordable and again for every change affecting our customers during the life of their tenancy with us. Knowing Adam is available to discuss any issues we might have or possible adaptations is key for us. He checks in to make sure all is well and listens to feedback. Brilliant tool to help unemployed and benefit claimants

As a regular user and a professional helping claimants , I feel the BOC is an mazing tool and is clear and easy to use with participants , good reports that they can understand. Reviewed on: 18th May 2023

Quick and easy

Great calculator with range of tools, easy to use. Only criticism is that some areas of benefit legislation have not been updated so results are inaccurate - IE recently would not allow for SMI in UC because claimant was employed, but this requirement ended in April.
