Awful experience with Capitalstackers!

Our experience with Capitalstackers, a peer-to-peer lending platform, has been financially catastrophic. Having invested my and my wife's life savings across multiple projects to spread risk, I am now faced with overwhelming losses on MOST of the investments. It has profoundly impacted our retirement plans. Our financial security and peace of mind has been shattered. Capitalstackers are careless, carefree, woefully inadequate and lack the ability to get loaned money back from their third-rate and uncooperative borrowers. For example, Capitalstackers consistently issued updates promising repayments to lenders like us by specific imminent dates, fostering hope that our funds would be returned soon. However, these commitments were repeatedly broken, with repayment deadlines extended, sometimes ** over 20 plus times over many years **! The eventual revelation that the buildings tied to my investments could only be sold at values far below the initial valuations provided and therefore we would lose ALL my our principle and accrued interest was a devastating blow. The original inflated valuations and LTVs used to attract investors were grossly misleading, undermining the trust we placed in the platform. The platform’s practice of labeling losses as “provisions” is deceptive and obscures the harsh reality that both our and other investors capital and accrued interest are unrecoverable. No other such business in this sector I have ever come across uses the word "provisions". Such lack of transparency has only deepened our frustration and sense of betrayal. My wife and I's experience with Capitalstackers has been a profoundly regrettable decision, and I strongly urge potential investors to exercise extreme caution to avoid the incredible financial and emotional toll this platform has caused us for years.
