Super fast remortgage

I had an existing mortgage with H&R which was coming to the end of its fixed rate term. A pack was sent to me with new mortgage offers, and the turnaround time was so quick - a matter of a few days to get the new (better rate) mortgage set up and done, all via electronic comms. Friendly and efficient service

Expectations hugely exceeded

I received a letter from Hinckley & Rugby dated 6th April advising that my existing mortgage product was coming to an end in 3 months time. I then selected one of the new product options which were offered and very easily and quickly completed the application process online. I called the contract variations department the following day explaining I would be on holiday when the new mortgage offer was being sent (4 weeks before the new mortgage start date) and I was told I would receive the new mortgage offer in 7 working days which was in itself brilliant. The lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful. However I received all the paperwork the following day by secure email. The day after I emailed a signed copy of my acceptance which allowed me the option of starting this new product within 7 days without incurring any early redemption charges. I then received an email advising I would receive a completion letter in a few days. However I received this letter, again by secure email, on the same day. The whole process from start to finish took 3 days. Quite remarkable! Reviewed on: 14th April 2022

Helpful staff

Personal and responsive service
