closing my cash Isa

On 14 February I visited the offices of Yorkshire Building Soc in Downend, and set up an account for them to transfer the funds from my Bath Building soc Cash Isa across. The Transfer was rejected and despite at least five visits and new applications being made and my phoning Bath Building Soc on at least 3 occasions the Bath Building Soc would not transfer my Isa. It was a disappointing end to my experience with BBS. My only option was to close the Cash Isa account - have the funds refunded and open a new account and I understand that this could have affected my cash Isa. Reviewed on: 19th April 2023

It was a difficult decision to close this agency but on balance we believe it was the right decision given the relatively low usage of this agency v the cost of maintaining it.
