Excellent service. efficient and friendly staff; a joy to do business with.

The staff member went through the details of the new EMA Bond (31st July 2025), explained the impact of interest only being added at the account maturity date and made sure I was fully aware of the Ts & Cs. The branch staff in Winchester are always friendly, efficient and fully competent. I have no hesitation in recommending Newbury Building Society to friends and colleagues. Reviewed on: 9th June 2023

Opening a fixed rate bond

All explained clearly by Rachel Hackett transferring funds from EMA a/c to bond. Unlike some banks Newbury BS operates a fair for savers and those with a mortgage. Reviewed on: 9th June 2023

New Mortgage

The process was all done electronically and able to accommodate our exchange date. Relatively quick responses to emails. There was a little issue with asking us for a declaration which we had already signed and returned, but this was rectified quickly to avoid duplication and delay in our exchange.
