Fixed rate bonds.

Extremely happy with my fixed rate bonds. Previously Santander were paying 1.5% up to 20K in their current account last year. They then dropped their interest rates twice in 2020. I decided to buy two fixed rate bonds, one for two years, the other for three. They are earning 1.66% and 1.75% respectively. I have converted my current account to a Santander Lite account, still get a cashback on certain bills for only a £2 monthly fee. I have also opened a deposit with RCI bank that currently earns 0.4% interest,(previously 1% when opened) with instant access, it is linked to my Santander current account. Withdrawals are credited to my current account the next day. The fixed rate bonds are very good if one doesn't need immediate access. Even at today's rates they are okay, as long as inflation remains low. Reviewed on: 21st March 2021

Very easy to find the right savings plan

I have found the website very easy to navigate and find the right savings plan to invest in. It is laid out in a straight forward way with no silly jargon to confuse the consumer. Confidence in efficient, expert and secure service

The last year or so has been the first time I have actually had sufficient funds to warrant savings and investments and I did not have a clue! Raisin has been like my virtual (even more necessary in Covid times), but free, Personal Advisor, doing all the hard work for me, keeping me up to date, responding quickly when needed and making me feel my hard earned money is safe and as well invested as possible.
