SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR MONEY AT SECURE TRUST BANK.

1
DO NOT DEPOSIT ANY MONEY WITH SECURE TRUST BANK. They unlawfully hold onto customers money (significant sums of tens of thousands) as long as possible to provide an improved, and false, accounting cash flow situation. It’s a fight to get your money when an account is closed. Money in “Access Accounts” is routinely blocked. Access to “Access Accounts” is not unblocked even with a fight. New issues of their Access Account are brought out at better interest rates than the same existing Access accounts to scam loyal customers with lower interest rates that do not reflect Bank of England base rate changes. Plus, Secure Trust Bank do NOT inform customers there’s an exact same product instant access account with a higher interest rate. It’s a fight to get access to statements. The money deposited goes to their used car finance company called V10 Finance, who also don’t like to pay their suppliers. Purported Secure Trust Bank staff actually work for the V10 used car finance company, and know nothing about the FCA’s regulatory requirements. And finally, check out the negative reviews on Trust Pilot and Feefo and please note that a lot (if not all) the positive reviews are fake. If you don’t want your money, are happy with lots of stress, distress and inconvenience, then Secure Trust Bank is the bank for you! Reviewed on: 6th June 2024

Morally and Ethically Bankrupt Company-Avoid at all Cost

I opened a 180 day notice account with them several years ago. It's one of several I have across banks like Secure Trust, Atom, Zopa etc. All the others have increased their rates in line with BoE increases, and I'm earning c 4.45%. Not with Secure Trust-not only have they not passed on rate increases, they've withdrawn the product-but insist on keeping me locked in at a rate less than 3%, for the full 180 day notice period. They tell me it's 'their right' not to pass on increases, which I'm sure it is. It's certainly not the 'right' thing to do and is a terrible way to treat a long-term customer. I'll be making as much noise as I can about this and I encourage anyone considering opening an account with them to look elsewhere. Atom Bank and Zopa are excellent and know how to behave ethically. Awful

Opened a 90 day account, 1 week later, I found a better bank and better savings account, tried to log in and it wouldn't except my details, phoned to close the account the minute I said I wanted to close this account down as I was still in the 14 day cooling off period I was immediately hung up on, not once but 3 times, two days later I phoned again as I still couldn't log in, 50 mins waiting for an answer, a further 35 mins running through security questions, only to be told I was no longer in the cooling off period, which is a complete lie as I tried nearly everyday for 5 days to cancel waste of space customer services, Reviewed on: 18th October 2021
