Poor interest rate, compared with others

Had to move Cash ISA as interest rate is so bad, compare with other financial institutions. Reviewed on: 13th April 2026

We understand you were looking for an instant-access ISA option. With instant-access products, rates may be lower due to the flexibility they offer. Our Notice ISA accounts, although offer less flexibility, do provide competitive rates and rank highly within the market. We regularly check our rates against the market to make sure they are competitive and offer value for money to our Members. Response date: 15th April 2026

Amazing service

I opened bank accounts for my children when they were very young so money could be paid in by family. My family wanted me to withdraw the money in time for their birthdays However I hadn’t updated my address and wasn’t able to do anything until this was done. Clare helped sort all the paperwork out and managed to get all the checks done and approved in a couple of days. When I went back to withdraw the money Clare and Karen managed to do all off this in a quick amount of time amazing service from both members of staff Reviewed on: 5th April 2026

.ADHD gratitude

. This is to Keira I explained that I have ADHD and that dealing with the various codes and verification steps required by other building societies has been difficult for me. I was anticipating having to apply online and was relieved to find that this was not necessary. You were extremely helpful in managing the process in a way that worked for me, and I appreciate that. Great Building Society.

The Stafford Building Society offers a great range of savings accounts even though there is only one branch. Recent improvements has been the online access to accounts. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The branch is a real asset in Stafford and I cannot praise them enough. I am sure they will there for many years to come. Reviewed on: 17th March 2026

Excellent customer service
