There terms and conditions state 7 days notice before cutting interest rates, but they only give you just 2 days notice. Only pay a little bit of your monthly interest at a time, not the full amount. I'm going to jump from a 1.99% rate to something that probably begins with a 4. I've got some money in my current account with my bank earning 1.25%, so it's a no-brainer to open a HomeSaver really. 3% as the base rate of interest is better than what I have with firstdirect, and the 2.5% bonus goes some way to making me feel better about the increase to my monthly costs!!!     Really easy set-up of the account. Modern, clean and simple design. Process was quick and simple, and the open banking payment approach made it so... Really easy set-up of the account. Modern, clean and simple design. Process was quick and simple, and the open banking payment approach made it so much simpler to initially top-up the account. Somewhat annoyingly the who thing is set-up for first-time buyers as opposed to saving for retirement which made some of the pages confusing and redundant with no way of skipping. But emails were good and the underlying processes are really strong to ensure you are fully informed and never overpaying. Read more Read less
