I have two ethical issues with Trimdon. As with all savings the returns are very poor at present. But I have the satisfaction of knowing my investment is used wisely for greater good. Reviewed on: 17th April 2021

Reliable and secure

5
It's very reassuring to know that not only is Triodos service everything you'd expect from a bank, it's also safer than most because of its ethical standards. I'm old enough to remember many banking and business disasters. Triodos does not invest in oil or pipelines, so it can't face those losses. Nor does it invest in stranded assets like coal extraction. There are not going to be scandals like those that hit RBS and Lloyds, where small businesses were looted by the very people who should have been looking after them. And I have personal experience of Barclays mismanagement of trust fund accounts... So yes, Triodos for me. Reviewed on: 17th April 2021

A bank I can trust

4
The reason I like Triodos is because I don’t want to invest in companies that I am unable to trust and support the likes of supplying arms and fracking etc. Triodos are leading the way in being ethical and more banks needs to follow their example. Reviewed on: 17th April 2021
