The service has been glitchy in places with transfers not completing or being "lost" and needing to contact customer services, but these were rectified swiftly and compensation was offered. However, if you're in a travel situation this might have been difficult to do and could have affected the travel. Value for money is pretty spot on and as a no-frills service it'd be useful to give to a son or daughter going travelling that you could top up from a distance and they could move the money as they went across borders. But Revolut and Monzo much more flexibility and additional services on top without being locked in to the balance staying on the WeSwap card. Reviewed on: 26th January 2018

Cheap and easy currency exchange

We swap is an extremely easy and cheap way of converting GBP into many major currencies. Just pre load your card and swap GBP at excellent market institutional rates into whichever currency you need. This money can then either be withdrawn as cash from an ATM at your desired location (free of charge if you withdraw a minimum amount) or just use as a debit card again without incurring any fees. It's so easy I now never need to visit a travel bureau and be stung by their extortionate commissions or abismal rates of exchange. Such a great currency exchange concept. Fantastic rates and a great idea

I love the idea behind WeSwap and the fact that they offer some of the best rates on the market is a cherry on top of the cake. What’s even better is that they do not take any charge of you decide to swap your money over the course of 7 days so it’s always good to start a swap a good week before you go on holiday. I went to the USA and got a great rate through their service! Their app which can be downloaded on the iOS and Android is extremely easy to use and allows you to keep track of your spending whilst abroad and swap money whilst on the go, completely hassle free! My only wish is that they provide more currency coverage as I’m going to Dubai in several months but can’t see that they offer a GBP to AED exchange rate which is a must as thousands of British people like myself travel to the Emirates on a yearly basis. So expanding their currencies means they would tackle a wider audience and get more business. I would still recommend this service without any hesitation! Give it a try! The App is very intuitive. Card accepted everywhere. Easy to load and unload money. If you ever have a query the customer service is responsive, friendly and accountable.
