I’ve used East Kilbride Credit Union for many years and I always found it to be an excellent service. I recently took out a loan, business was done quickly and money deposited in my bank account within a few hours, can’t speak highly enough of this Credit Union. Reviewed on: 5th July 2026

Needed another loan as it's so hard these days.

Needed another loan as it's so hard these days. Prices going up, bill going up and sometimes it's hard to see how your going to get thru it. Thanks to EKCU it gives you some breathing space. 1st class service and value .

I did all of my transaction online . I am sometimes not too good with internet technology . But I got great help and guidance with a few little problems I had . so apart from these little things which were all down to my lack of expertise, it eas a very straightforward and quick transaction . Can’t thank the girl who helped me with my little buggies enough . I think it was Louise ?I would highly recommend EKCU to anyone wanting to borrow , save , or do anything with them . Glad I joined.

After opening an account with East Kilbride Credit Union some spare cash I had I rarely added to my balance until I took out a secured loan for a holiday (my first time going abroad). I borrowed £1000 at a very cheap interest rate and paid it off in one year. The staff encouraged me to pay back the loan and a little extra towards my savings. I had never been a regular saver but after paying off my loan I realised that I could in fact afford to keep paying the same amount towards my savings and my savings increased quicker than I realised. I still save a small amount every month by direct debit and now I can just withdraw money from my account instead of applying for a loan again. Everything can be done easily online. It is really convenient. I can deposit or withdraw cash and apply for a loan via an app on my mobile phone. I have also found the staff to be very helpful and pleasant to deal with. I would encourage anyone to open an account, set up a direct debit and see your savings increase. Reviewed on: 30th June 2026

Secured loans

Used service in the past. No drama due to efficiant and well trained staff. Easy to obtain secured loan as long as you have the savings to cover the amount you want to borrow. The paperwork is straightforward and money goes into your bank account quickly. Reviewed on: 26th June 2026

Every enquiry or loan application has always been dealt with in an Efficient, friendly manner.Nothing is too much bother. I am not very good at these matters and they take the time to listen, advise and talk you through in a manner that you understand.. Having this in my life has helped tremendously particularly when my familyl where younger. I have been a member since it first opened and a lot of the old faces are sadly no longer with us.
