Expensive, and they will try anything not to pay out

My female cat needed a caesarian. I always take all my cats to the vet for a post-birthing check, and because I had done that with her previous litter, Agria claimed the birthing difficulties that led to the c-section were a pre-existing condition, which was completely ridiculous as she had delivered 6 kittens previously completely normally. My vet had to appeal, which was a waste of everyone's time. Every claim seems to have the same issue, and the premiums are way above other insurers who pay out without quibbling (I know, as I've changed insurer for most of my cats). This is, however, the only insurer who gives breeding cover, which is why I use them for my active girls. Their web interface is pretty terrible, and if I'm honest the terms for the breeding cover are pretty ridiculous, as they are the same for males as for females. Reviewed on: 7th October 2022

Quality cover

Having insured multiple dogs over teens of years with Agria I cannot fault the service provided. Our now passed over, halyracket retriever, who sustained multiple injuries over her lifetime were all covered fully by Agria as was the last deed we had to do for her aged 14. Both our current dogs have the same security but thankfully have not needed the same attention. Reviewed on: 7th October 2022

A sad loss but Agria came up trumps for us

We had the introductory insurance with Agria from our vets, sadly we only had our lovely puppy for just over a month when she began to ail. She was admitted to the veterinary emergency service where tests and scans revealed that her kidneys hadn’t formed. When our vet asked about claiming I said I doubted that this company that I had never heard of, would pay out after such a short time as our insurers. A few years ago a very well known insurer had declined a small claim in similar circumstances. However, I was wrong, Agria reviewed our claim and a substantial part of it was paid within a week. When we got another puppy, I looked no further than Agria to insure Rowan. I can not speak highly enough of them. Reviewed on: 7th October 2022

Helpful and Understanding

Agria are Number 1 for a reason

When ‘Ash’ was diagnosed with allergies to everyday things like pollen and dust by our vet it was a worry. Treatments would be for life and weren’t cheap. We love Ash and we chose one of the more expensive treatments available to us - we are lucky that we could and did! Agria assessed the claim and paid for the treatment, committing to future claims too which means complete peace of mind for us…..and Ash! Reviewed on: 7th October 2022
