My wife and I were going on a river cruise with Saga and whilst I took Sagas included insurance (excellent) my wife used All Clear... My wife and I were going on a river cruise with Saga and whilst I took Sagas included insurance (excellent) my wife used All Clear which she has over many years. Just before our holiday I was taken to A&E and found to have heart failure. We cancelled the trip and Saga paid my claim on receipt of medical proof. After a month of sending various requested documents to Gallagher Bassett (who are supposed to deal with claims on behalf of All Clear) we are still awaiting settlement. My heart condition is not being improved by this delay and worry. As others have said, their sales team are superb but it all goes downhill should you claim. Firstly, the sales side of AllClear are excellent. However, if you are unfortunate enough to make a claim then it is a nightmare. AllClear sub... Firstly, the sales side of AllClear are excellent. However, if you are unfortunate enough to make a claim then it is a nightmare. AllClear sub contract claims to Gallaher Basset and they are totally useless.. Their modus operandi is to stretch out all claims by asking for more information every 7 days until you are totally frustrated. AllClear are no better as their customer care team are toothless. For reasons only known to them they have escalated my claim to Zurich Insurance and they are quoting a response team of 6-8 weeks. Everything to do with claims is hopeless . Avoid them at all costs.     It takes 5 working days to get a response to an emai...

    It takes 5 working days to get a response to an email and it took numerous emails phone calls and complaints to get my claim... It takes 5 working days to get a response to an email and it took numerous emails phone calls and complaints to get my claim resolved over 3 months in total ! The claims handling company ( Gallagher Basset ) are completely incompetent.     No hassle experience

    No hassle experience but pre-existing medical conditions make it very expensive. Last year my partner was hospitalised but AllClear managed to arrange payment immediately.
