Used and ignored

My hubby had a credit card with Asda, always paid it off. But their particular scheme was ending so we let the card vlose. As he hardly used it. Well, the online only account moved to Santander, then out of the blue a bill arrived sanding a large sum....

My hubby had a credit card with Asda, always paid it off. But their particular scheme was ending so we let the card vlose. As he hardly used it. Well, the online only account moved to Santander, then out of the blue a bill arrived sanding a large sum. Couldn't get online to view statements anymore, call centre unhelpful and now this random balance amount has moved to a company called Newday who don't answer their phones quickly, when they do they pass you from pillar to post and still several years on we are trying to chase up what this mystery balance is for and how to close the account and get our money back they have taken which we do not owe! Fuming doesn't cut it! We've never had this before with a credit card, it's lovely they've been selling on a debt that shouldn't exist anyway and no one cares but we keep.payong a monthly amount to stop bailiffs being called to collect this none debt! AHH!

Applied for the Cashback Credit Plus Credit card, they sent wrong card out. No apologies, said I would have to re apply. Creation Finance who are used are not helpful. Abrupt. Not customer service orientated from my experience. Cancelled card as would not be happy dealing with the call centre from the 2 poor experiences I have had.

I was attracted to this card because of the cashback, but have spent a lot of time sorting it out over the past few months. Had problems activating the main card online and needed to phone to get it sorted ( the second card was activated OK). Then my direct debit wasn't set up properly. More phone calls, but it was set up and they refunded the charges. And they will only give us a credit limit equal to our monthly income, so when we paid for our holidays we went a small amount over the limit and have been hit with a £12 charge. Should have paid on our old card which has a decent limit. I'm persevering as surely everything is set up OK now. But I daren't use it as my main card until they give me a decent credit limit.

Took out an Asda mastercard 3 months ago...very poor experience so far!
Tried to pay online via their online website.....found that I had to fill out exhaustive details of the debit card I was paying with. OK for the first payment I thought, but not so. You have to do the same every time as their system is incapable of retaining card details. How unprofessional!
Second month I tried to pay by bank transfer but the payment was immediately refunded. Apparently the sort code/account numbers lodged with First Direct are incorrect. Asda money claimed this is because First Direct has not amended its details, but I suspect that Asda has failed to notify. As I said, not good so far.....any more problems and I'll switch to a competent provider.

No one to answer your call

It is just ridiculous to have a contact number that is always engaged. I cannot ever get through to Asda credit card, and I have a rather urgent question. I do not recommend this card, when you need them they are not there to help. Disgraceful!

Asda suspended my card, last Friday, as concerned about a purchase made with it. Website said I could call on Saturdays but when tried to ring on Saturday morning, message says only available Monday - Friday 9-5.. So in limbo all weekend and further transactions put through before/on Friday card has been declined (such as paying for daughter's birthday meal). Understand importance of avoiding fraud/protecting customers BUT give me someone to talk to when I need to!!!!!!!
