What a complete rip off company and waste of space Asda animal insurance is. I took out insurance in August 24, filled in my form... What a complete rip off company and waste of space Asda animal insurance is. I took out insurance in August 24, filled in my form and clearly stated my dog is a jack russsell terrier. I made a claim in November 2024 when my dog started expressing symptoms of Arthritus and i was paying over £100 per month for treatment. They came back with a refusal as said it was a pre existing condition that was noted in June 2024 before i took my insurance out. Arthritus was never mentioned in June 2024 and my vet even confirmed it was never mentioned until November 2024 in a letter. They then put my premium up as said i declared my dog as a medium cross breed and not a jack russell terrior! I told them i would never write that my dog is a medium crossbreed when asked his breed so this was changed on my form with out my permisiion. It means i now get ripped off by a premium by asda each month because they changed my form and because they said my dogs illness is a pre existing condition despite the vets letter im paying for a service that will not help when i need it. I went to the finantial ombudsman to help but he was a complete jobsworth too, both companys are not fit for purpose and i will now be cancelling my insurance this evening.
